The Acura TSX shares a platform and many components with the Japanese and European-market Honda Accord, though it features luxury appointments befitting of Honda's high-end brand. The new TSX Sportwagon joins the standard four-door sedan model. A technologically advanced i-VTEC 2.4-liter inline 4-cylinder produces 201 hp, with an optional 3.5-liter V6 offering a thrilling 280 hp. 6-speed manual and 5-speed automatic with Sequential SportShift transmissions are offered with the 2.4, while the 3.5 is only offered with the automatic.
A sophisticated suspension, with double wishbones up front and multi-link in the rear, gives the TSX world-class handling capabilities among front-wheel drive cars. A rearview camera and HID headlights come standard. An optional navigation system features AcuraLink functionality for real-time traffic and weather information. Fuel efficiency is average for the segment: 22/31 city/highway mpg for the 2.4 automatic, 21/29 mpg for the 2.4 manual and 19/28 mpg for the 3.5.
