For 2012, the optional 6-speed Sportshift automated manual transmission has been replaced with the 7-speed Sportshift II. With an additional gear, closer ratios, lower final drive and a quicker, refined shift quality, this new gearbox provides faster and more precise shifts, optimises acceleration and delivers a sporting driving experience. Quicker steering, bigger brakes with hill start assist, and wider tires have all been fitted. To reflect its enhanced performance, the V8 Vantage has received a number of styling changes inspired by the Vantage S, including a front lower bumper with larger air intake and aerodynamic splitter, a rear diffuser, and sculpted race-derived side sills.
