Audi's mid-engine corporate cousin to the Lamborghini Gallardo, the R8 keeps the Ingolstadt company's flag planted in the exotic car world after receiving a facelift in 2013. The signature body sideblades and quattro all-wheel-drive return as do the V8 and V10 engines, in either coupe or spyder configurations.
Audi's 4.2-liter V8 generates 430 horsepower; its 10-cylinder engine cranks out 525 ponies from 5.2 liters. The hardtop-only V10 "plus" boosts output to 550 horsepower. A true six-speed manual transmission is available across the board, as is a seven-speed Audi S Tronic dual-clutch unit.
