The Audi TT coupe first made its appearance in American markets in 2000, and the Audi TTS—its high-performance counterpart—came out in 2009. Designed to entice luxury and sports car buyers alike, the TTS provides an exciting ride with enhanced handling and plenty of standard amenities, while still maintaining good fuel economy.

The TTS has a unique frame design, 19-inch wheels, and a specially customized Quattro all-wheel drive system. Its biggest appeal is an exhilarating dose of power and torque, provided by a 2-liter turbocharged engine with 265hp.

Major changes included: The second generation TT picks up where the original left off and lives on as Audi's fun-to-drive, compact luxury sports coupe. With many engines and other options to choose from, the TT can be equipped to fit any driver's needs. The standard TT is available with a choice between a turbocharged 207-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, turbocharged 160-hp 1.8-liter four-cylinder (available only on the roadster model) or 247-hp 3.2-liter narrow-angle V6. Front-wheel drive comes standard, but Quattro all-wheel drive is also offered. Starting in 2008, the sportier TTS model became available. With a tuned version of the turbocharged 2.0-liter now producing 268 horsepower and Quattro all-wheel drive as standard equipment, the TTS is the model most likely to thrill enthusiasts.
