Are there any Benefits if You Voluntarily Surrender Your Vehicle?

December 9, 2010

If you surrender your vehicle, the only benefit is to your checkbook or debit card that does not have to make a monthly payment any more. By voluntarily surrendering our car, you are not only giving up any equity you have built in the vehicle, you are telling the financial world that you are voluntarily letting the bank take repossession of your car, and this becomes a repossession issue. If you are having trouble with your loan, talk to a bank officer, and try refinancing through another institution. But do what you can short of surrendering your vehicle, as it makes no financial sense.
