The introduction of the Nissan Leaf 100 percent electric car is fast approaching and now the Japanese auto maker is permitting the public to arrange for a Nissan Leaf test drive through a special website.
The Nissan Drive Electric Tour begins on October 1 and the special website provides dates, locations and times that you can test drive the new sensation. Cities that have been scheduled to host the events include Santa Monica, Anaheim, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Jose, and San Francisco, California, Hillsboro, Oregon, Seattle, Washington, Tempe and Tucson, Arizona, Austin, Houston and Dallas, Texas, Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, Chattanooga, Knoxville, and Nashville, Tennessee, Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina and Washington, D.C. Check the special website for details on dates, times and site of the event.
In addition, you can visit the Nissan website to get all sorts of detailed information about the Leaf in videos that explain its features and technologies. The site also offers a list of events involving the Leaf, answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and a photo gallery. You can also arrange to reserve a Leaf for yourself for a fee of $99. The site asserts that the fee is not a down payment but only a "placeholder" that saves you "a spot in line to get a LEAF."
