Buick's interior technology receives a big revamp this year, expanding connectivity options with the debut of GM's new IntelliLink smartphone-integrated infotainment platform. Using voice commands or a touch screen, drivers can enjoy apps like Pandora and Stitcher (more to come) using a smartphone's data connection. IntelliLink combines with OnStar and its ever-expanding list of everyday convenience features, like turn-by-turn directions and the new Family Link vehicle tracking system, bringing Buick into the modern era.

Navigation/Infotainment Package Specific to Manufacturer

IntelliLink, OnStar

Buick shows off its new IntelliLink infotainment platform with voice control for hands-free calling and in-car functions, as well as data-connected apps like Pandora and Stitcher. Strangely, Buick forces a choice between IntelliLink and an HDD-based navigation system option, meaning option for the nav system takes away the more-advanced voice control and smartphone pairing features from IntelliLink.

GM's OnStar system means even models with no navigation system can have turn-by-turn directions sent on-demand to the car, though this and some other advanced OnStar features will require a monthly subscription fee after a trial period.

Car Audio

Models equipped with IntelliLink use a 7-inch touchscreen head unit to seamlessly integrate broadcast, satellite and internet radio as well as the user's own music library. Buick pairs with Bose and Harman/Kardon for its premium optional audio system offerings.
