Once again a newcomer to the U.S. market, the Fiat 500 brings the brand's Blue&Me smartphone pairing and infotainment interface, built on a Microsoft platform and coming as standard equipment. Blue&Me offers some advanced features like hands-free text message readout and voice-based music library control, though critics have panned its implementation and have had trouble getting some features to work. Available on all but the base Pop trim, the TomTom navigation system is reasonably priced.

The tiny, light 500 offers short stopping distances rivaling expensive sports cars. It should be noted, though, that the 500 received 3/5 stars in NHTSA crash testing with just 2/5 stars for side protection. 7 airbags are standard.

Bluetooth Hands-Free

Bluetooth is standard on all Fiat 500 models, including text message readouts. A2DP streaming audio is not supported.
