Mazda offers 2 basic navigation systems varying by model. They are very different, including methods of input and core features. The Compact Navigation System from the Mazda 3 and CX-7 offers the most basic of feature sets, lacking bells and whistles found even on the most basic aftermarket units. The system from the Mazda 6, CX-9 and RX-8 offers more advanced features like touch and voice control. Much of Mazda’s 2012 product portfolio has no navigation option. In general Mazda's 2012 interior tech lags behind most competitors and should not be a main selling point, though some key advances are just around the corner for 2013.
