As we get ready to tune in Sunday for another installment of Super Bowl football, we're even more excited to see what advertisers have come up with this year. At $3.8 million for a 30-second slot, Super Bowl XLVII advertisers will pay dearly for each of those 100-million-plus pairs of eyes.

Today we look back to bring you our favorite Super Bowl car commercials of all time. Some are funny, some are just plain awesome, while others are more serious. Each is worth a watch, and made a strong statement for its respective automaker at the time.
