Figuring out which states have the lowest sales tax when it comes to purchasing a new car can be difficult for motorists. Each of the 50 states in this country have varying sales tax percentages. The percentages vary depending on the price of the vehicle, the state sales tax for retailers, and how much of the tax will be submitted to the state's Department of Motor Vehicles. There are states out there that do not charge a sales tax for the purchase of a new vehicle and one of those states is Delaware, which does not charge for sales tax in all other aspects of their retail market.
