Vehicle Inspection: The details of this process vary from one manufacturer to the next, but it typically entails a comprehensive vehicle examination to ensure that all parts are in excellent working order.

Warranty: Most CPO programs simply extend the new car warranty term (see Acura and Toyota as examples). In some cases, the CPO warranty refers to a combination of the additional warranty term and the total vehicle mileage (see Audi and Lexus as examples). In other cases, the manufacturer simply adds on a year/mileage value for the CPO warranty (see BMW and Volkswagen as examples).
