In addition to the rigorous Hyundai quality regulations each Hyundai CPO is guaranteed to be a well-maintained, late-model Hyundai. Hyundai technicians put every CPO vehicle through a 150-point inspection and a CARFAX Vehicle History Report review.
A Hyundai CPO vehicle inspection includes, but is not necessarily limited to:
- VIN Inspection-This insures that the VIN is original and tamper-free and has required state decals. Recall updates and service bulletins are preformed as well as a check for trouble codes. An oil change and scheduled maintenance are performed.
- Road Test- This checks the vehicles engine, transmission, drive axle, transfer case, clutch, steering/rack, pinion/steering linkage performance, brakes, cruise control, al gauges including the speedometer, odometer and tachometer and the body/suspension performance.
- Body Exterior-This includes a frame and body panel inspection including bumpers, doors, hood, trunk, tailgate (if applicable), grill, trim, molding and roof rack. All vehicle glass and mirrors are checked and the wiper and washer condition are checked. Head, tail, brake, parking, hazard, turn signal and side marker, fog and driving, license plate and reverse lights are also checked.
- Interior-Includes air bags, seat belts, audio and alarm system checks, heating, ventilation, AC, defogger, defroster, interior amenities including the clock, horn, lighter/power outlet, ashtray, glove compartment, center armrest, console, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, mirrors, instrument panel, warning chimes, interior courtesy lights, fuel filler, door release, door handles, interior trim, carpet, floor mats, sun visors, luggage compartment, trunk, truck bed (if applicable), jack and tools, seats, window and door lock operation. The sunroof, moonroof or convertible top are checked, if applicable.
- Powertrain-This portion of the check includes the engines mechanical condition, cooling, fuel, exhaust and electrical systems, transmission, differential and transaxle, suspension and steering, tires and wheels and brakes.
Hyundai takes its CPO vehicle inspections very seriously and minute details are of the most importance. If it is a Hyundai Hybrid CPO, the inverter coolant, hybrid battery and electronic control unit, auxiliary battery, multi-information display are checked, in addition to a diagnostic scan performance.
Hyundai CPO Vehicle Warranty
A Hyundai CPO vehicle includes a transferable powertrain warranty for 10-year/100,000 from original in-service date with no deductible. Beyond the new car warranty, Hyundai CPO vehicles offer an extended warranty which includes the Optional Wrap Service Contract and Optional Vehicle Care Service Plan.
