One of a handful of full-size vans left on the market, the Express 2500 soldiers on looking much like it did 40 years ago. It's not that Chevy's design team has been asleep for decades—there's only so much you can do with a storage room on wheels. Underneath the skin, mechanical updates have kept up with the times without intruding on the cavernous interior space that is essential to this type of vehicle.
The 2500 cargo model offers a choice of standard or extended wheelbases, the latter offering 284 cubic feet of space and 9,600 pounds of payload capacity. There's also a passenger model on the standard wheelbase that seats 12.
