Chevrolet Malibu LT 1LT
The 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LT 1LT brings a basic features package to this sedan that's currently popular in driveways and on dealer's lots. After a 2008 re-design, the Malibu continues to reach out to Chevy customers as a competitive mid-size sedan. Touted for gas mileage and high design, this new car is worth a second look.
The standard engine in the Malibu 1LT is an ECOTEC 2.4L DOHC 4-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Timing that gets an estimated 22 miles per gallon in city and 30 MPG in highway driving with the standard 6-speed automatic transmission. A proprietary StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System with brake assist is standard, as well as a TAPmanual dash feature, a Traction Control System, airbags, and 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, for a lot of attention to safety on the road.
The Malibu 1LT has the standard audio package for the model year: an AM/FM stereo with CD player, MP3 playback and an auxiliary audio input jack, with three months of XM radio included. Other tech features are optional, such as keyless entry and a sunroof. It's worth noting that several of these features are optional on the 1LT, making it important to take a close look at the standard offer in order to get any necessary extras.
17" chrome trim wheels, along with modern body design, make the 1LT look good on the road. A a basic package for the Malibu, the 1LT is a trim to ask about on the dealer's lot for seeing everything that comes standard in this year's model.
