The 2013 Dodge Dart is the first car to carry that name in the North American market since the original Dart ended a successful 16-year production run in 1976. The all-new Dart replaces the Dodge Caliber, which had always met with mixed reviews.

The Dart shares a platform with the European-market Alfa Romeo Giullietta, and the fingerprints of parent company Fiat are all over the the new Dodge. A variety of engine options range from sporty to efficient, and offer up to 184 horsepower or 41 mpg on the highway.

Major changes included:

New for 2013, the Dart is Dodge's first small sedan since the Neon cased production in 2005. It shares a platform with an Italian cousin—the Alfa Romeo Giulietta—and critics believe the Dart will perform well against segment leaders like the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic. Notable features include a stylish design, responsive engine and customizable appearance, with seven wheel options and over a dozen trim and color combinations.
