Overview

Research by Year

The first Ford Focus—introduced in 2000—was a major improvement on the Escort it replaced. Praised for its handling and European design, the Focus became a serious player in the compact market. A second generation received less acclaim, but the Focus recently regained its status as a compact contender with its 2012 redesign.

The current model features stylish bodywork, a fuel-efficient engine, high-quality interiors and the same type of above-average handling characteristics that caught everyone’s attention in the original Focus.
