Ford Focus S
The Ford Focus S may be Ford's entry-level Focus trim option but it is packed with plenty of standard features that make it a highly respected vehicle, especially for the price range. Standard on every Focus, the MyKey allows users to decide how the car should be driven, no matter who is driving it by using specially coded keys to program fuel-efficient driving or seatbelt use by way of the vehicle's key. The MyKey does this by being able to do things such as limiting the top speed or muting the audio system until all seatbelts are buckled. Other standard Focus features include AdvanceTrac Electronic Stability Control (ESC) that continuously monitors road conditions and the driver's responses, then adjusts the engine's torque and applies the Anti-lock Brakes (ABS) accordingly to make sure you'll grip the road as best as possible. Side impact airbags top off the standard feature list to make this one of the safest cars available for the price range.
The Ford Focus S houses a 2.0-Liter Duratec 20 4-cylinder engine that delivers an estimated fuel economy of 35 MPG on the highway. The S trim comes standard with a 5-speed manual transmission, however, a 4-speed automatic transmission is made as an option. A quality ride as another advantage of the Focus S, due to the European-inspired suspension system that sharpens the handling while improving the ride quality of the vehicle.
The Focus S also has some impressive interior and exterior features. A top-of-dash display allows drivers to keep their eyes on the road while checking important information while eco-friendly cloth seats that split in the backseat area help the environment and give you more room. A 2-bar chrome grille, chrome headlight and taillight trims add to the exterior appearance of the vehicle.
Although the Ford Focus S may be the entry-level trim of the Focus, it has many of the same features as other trims to make it a great choice if you don't want to spend as much.
