Ford Transit Connect Generations
For each major redesign, a vehicle is said to begin a new "generation."
Available as a van or wagon, the front-wheel drive Transit Connect is powered by a 138-hp 2.0-liter Duratec four-cylinder engine, matched with a four-speed automatic transmission. Sliding rear and split-opening back doors are available with or without windows. The two-seater van and four- or five-seater wagon come in XL and XLT trims. Standard features include front and side airbags, anti-lock brakes, front cloth bucket seats, a low maintenance vinyl floor behind the front seats, and full 180° opening back doors. XLT trims add power locks, windows, exterior mirrors and remote keyless entry. Roll Stability Control® is optional on vans, standard on wagons.
