What's New
The 2023 GMC Acadia continues virtually unchanged following last year's refresh. An all-new Acadia is coming for the 2024 model year.
Choosing Your GMC Acadia
The Acadia is offered in four trim levels: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali. Pricing starts at $36,695 including destination and climbs to $48,495 for the Denali before options.
Engine Choices
The SLE, SLT, and Denali start out with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. A V6 engine is available on the SLT ($1,995) and Denali ($495). The V6 is standard on the AT4, along with all-wheel drive, which costs $2,300 on the SLE and $2,000 on the SLT and Denali.
Engine Type | Horsepower | Torque | Max Towing | Fuel Economy (Combined) |
2.0L Turbo 4-Cylinder | 228 hp | 258 lb-ft | 3,500 pounds | 25/24 mpg (FWD/AWD) |
3.6L V6 | 310 hp | 271 lb-ft | 4,000 pounds | 22/21 mpg (FWD/AWD) |
Passenger and Cargo Capacity
The Acadia is a midsize, three-row crossover with standard seating for six. Buyers who need seven-passenger capacity can swap the second-row captain's chairs for a bench seat at no extra cost.
Cargo space is typical for a crossover of this size. There are 12.8 cubic feet behind the third row and 41.7 cubic feet with it folded. Folding both rows open up 79 cubic feet of space.
Safety Features
The Acadia offers an adequate suite of standard safety technology, including lane-keeping assist, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking, and front and rear parking sensors. The $1,000 Technology Package for the SLT and AT4 tacks on surround-view cameras and a head-up display.
The Denali comes with the head-up display and vibrating safety alert in the driver seat as standard. The $1,795 Denali Technology Package adds the surround-view cameras, plus a rearview camera mirror, a rear camera washer, adaptive cruise control, and radar-enhanced automatic emergency braking.
Connectivity
The Acadia's standard infotainment setup offers an 8-inch touchscreen, six speakers, five USB ports, satellite radio, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Infotainment Package ($955) for the SLE adds navigation and an eight-speaker Bose sound system. These items are standard on subsequent trims. The Denali also gets wireless phone charging, which is available on the other trims for $420.
2023 GMC Acadia SLE — From $36,695
The SLE starts out with manual cloth seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, tri-zone automatic climate control, power heated side mirrors, and 18-inch aluminum wheels with dark accents. The Driver Convenience Package ($1,750) furnishes an eight-way power driver seat, heated front seats, roof rails, remote start, and a hands-free power liftgate.
2023 GMC Acadia SLT – MSRP From $40,995
In addition to navigation and the Bose system, the SLT picks up leather seats, LED fog lights, and the contents of the Driver Convenience Package as standard. A panoramic sunroof becomes available for $1,400.
For $995, the Preferred Package adds a power passenger seat, ventilated front seats, a heated power-adjustable steering wheel, heated second-row seats, and power-folding side mirrors. The Elevation Edition ($1,495) wears 20-inch machined wheels and black exterior trim. A heavy-duty cooling system and hitch guidance come in the $650 Trailering Package.
2023 GMC Acadia AT4 – MSRP From $43,295
Along with the standard V6 and AWD as standard, the AT4 comes with torque vectoring, an off-road driving mode, black exterior trim, and all-terrain tires on 17-inch gloss black wheels. Other equipment and options are shared in the SLT, except leather upholstery is a $1,000 option on the AT4.
2023 GMC Acadia Denali – MSRP From $48,495
The Denali features a perforated leather interior, abundant chrome exterior trim, and 20-inch bright-finish wheels. The contents of the Preferred Package are standard here, but the sunroof remains optional.
The Denali Ultimate Package ($3,845) includes the sunroof, the Technology Package, the Trailer Package, and for AWD models adaptive ride control. The Black Diamond Edition ($4,145) combines the Ultimate Package with satin-finish wheels and Ebony Twilight Metallic exterior paint.
Compare Acadia Trims Side-By-Side
The 2023 GMC Acadia feels a lot more confident with the V6 under the hood, and we recommend it if you plan on carrying a full crew on a regular basis. That means starting your build with the SLT, which admittedly isn't cheap. For light to moderate off-roading, only the AT4 will do.
