Shop for a large, mainstream sedan and you’ll find a small collection of models on hand. The Hyundai Azera is one such model, a five-passenger, front-wheel drive sedan packed with a long list of standard features. It's the largest Hyundai sedan you can buy and is offered in two trims.
What's New for 2017
The big news for the 2017 Azera is its ascension to the top of the Hyundai sedan pecking order. The previous two larger models, Equus and Genesis, have moved over to the all-new Genesis brand for 2017. The Azera is slated for its next major change in 2018, so this year’s model is unchanged.
Choosing Your Hyundai Azera
Every 2017 Azera is powered by a 3.3-liter V6 engine making 293 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque. It's one of the most power-dense engines in this segment and comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The Azera is EPA-rated at 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.
All models are equipped with alloy wheels, power-folding side mirrors, LED tail lights, solar control glass, a shark fin antenna, and a hands-free power trunk lid. Also standard is a proximity key with push-button start, power front seats, a split-folding rear seat, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a rearview camera, and a tilt and telescoping steering column.
No packages are offered, although accessories such as a cargo net ($50), cargo tray ($100), and carpeted floor mats ($125) can be installed by your dealer.
Choose the Azera Limited if the driver assist features are a must for you. Combined with the other added features, the $5,200 upgrade may be worth it, especially if you plan to keep your Hyundai Azera for many years.
