Hyundai Tiburon Generations
For each major redesign, a vehicle is said to begin a new "generation."
The Tiburon is available in four trims: the GS, GT, GT Limited, and SE. The base GS model has a 138 hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed manual or optional four-speed automatic transmission. A 172 hp 2.7-liter V6 engine powers the other models, with the GT models carrying a five-speed manual or available four-speed automatic transmission, and the SE models carrying a six-speed manual transmission. Safety features such as side-impact airbags and four-wheel antilock brakes come standard.

2003 - 2008 Hyundai Tiburon
Major changes included: The second and last generation for the Hyundai Tiburon is offered in a two-door hatchback body with GS, GT, GT Limited, and SE trims. The base GS comes with a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine, while the rest of the line offers a 2.7 liter V6 which produces 172 horsepower. The GT trim offers slight luxury appointments, such as leather bolstered seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and automatic temperature control. The SE, which places an emphasis in performance, is the only trim offered with a 6 speed manual transmission. | |
