Hyundai Tucson Generations
For each major redesign, a vehicle is said to begin a new "generation."
The front-wheel drive Tucson comes in three trims: the GLS, SE, and Limited. The GLS has a 140-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, with a choice of a five-speed manual gearbox or a Shiftronic four-speed automatic transmission. A 173-hp 2.7-liter V6 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission is standard on the SE and Limited trim. Four-wheel drive models are offered in SE and Limited trim only and also have the same standard 2.7-liter V6 mated to an identical four-speed automatic transmission. Standard safety features for the Tucson include side-curtain and side-impact airbags, all-disc anti-lock brakes with traction control, active front head restraints and an electronic stability system.

2005 - 2009 Hyundai Tucson
Major changes included: The Tucson debuted in 2005,and is offered in GLS, SE, and Limited trims. The GLS has a conservative 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine, while the others are granted a 2.7 liter V6. Power windows, door locks, and heated mirrors are standard across the board, while the Limited model is available with luxuries such as heated leather seating and a CD changer. | |
