Major changes included: The second generation G35 drops the coupe layout (replaced by the G37) and is only offered in sedan form. It receives a more powerful and efficient 3.5 liter V6 VQ35HR engine that produces 306 horsepower. It is available in base, Journey, G35x AWD, and Sport trims.
Major changes included: The first generation G35 was offered in coupe and sedan variants, with a 6-speed manual transmission optional in both. In its prime, the first generation offered a 2.5 liter V6 engine that produced 298 horsepower. The sedan variant was offered in all-wheel drive, called the G35x. The 2005 refresh gave the G35 a fresh aluminum trim as well as available rosewood. It received a sport-tuned suspension and larger brakes, as well as exterior touchups.
