What's New
As the 2024 Jaguar F-Type approaches the end of the road, the final year of production is being commemorated with a special edition model called 75. This is available with two engine variants in either convertible or cabriolet form, expanding the total number of models in the F-Type range to six.
Choosing Your Jaguar F-TYPE
The expanded 2024 Jaguar F-Type range starts with R-Dynamic trim, priced at $79,175 (all prices include destination) in coupe guise, with convertible models commanding a $2,000 premium. The same increase applies to the 75 model, which starts at $91,175 in coupe form, while the more powerful R75 is the most expensive F-Type, costing $116,275 as a convertible.
Engine Choices
R-Dynamic and 75 models are powered by the less powerful P450 version of Jaguar’s iconic five-liter V8 gas engine, producing 444 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque. This is supplied to the rear wheels (all four on 75s) through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
If that’s not enough beef, AWD-only R models are fitted with the re-tuned P575 engine, generating 575 hp and 516 lb-ft. Fuel economy stands at an EPA-estimated 17 miles per gallon city, 24 mpg highway, and 19 combined in RWD P450 models, dropping to 16/24/18 in R and AWD F-Types.
Engine Type | Horsepower | Torque | Fuel Economy (City/Highway/Combined) |
P450 | 444 hp | 428 lb-ft | 17/24/19 mpg (RWD), 16/24/18 mpg (AWD) |
P575 | 575 hp | 516 lb-ft | 16/24/18 mpg |
Passenger and Cargo Capacity
Cargo capacity for the two-seater F-Type stands at 14.4 cu ft in the coupe, but just 7.3 cu ft in the convertible.
Safety Features
Jaguar has squeezed six airbags into the F-Type coupe’s compact two-seater cabin (four in the cabriolet), with blind spot assistance and rear traffic monitoring helping to mitigate poor rear vision.
Cruise control, lane keep assist and a driver condition monitor improve safety on long drives, while traffic sign recognition is standard across the range. Automatic emergency braking and emergency braking assist are also standard, while convertible models make up for losing two airbags by gaining a rollover protection system.
Connectivity
It’s pleasing to note that every F-Type receives the same infotainment system, comprising a ten-inch touchscreen with smartphone mirroring, connected navigation, and satellite radio.
A 380-watt ten-speaker Meridian sound system is also standard across the range, including a subwoofer and amplifier, while a 12.3-inch configurable driver information display sits behind the heated leather steering wheel.
2024 Jaguar F-Type R-Dynamic – MSRP From $79,175
Not to be confused with the more powerful R models, R-Dynamic is the most affordable F-Type trim. It sits on 20-inch gloss silver wheels with black brake calipers, further distinguished by signature LED daytime running lights and a deployable spoiler.
Step inside, and leather/suede cloth seats are heated and fitted with 12-way electric memory, while a heated and electrically adjustable leather steering wheel has silver gearshift paddles behind it. Other notable specifications include dual-zone climate, metal pedals and matching treadplates, keyless entry, and heated outside mirrors which dim, fold and have memory settings.
There are no options on any F-Type.
2024 Jaguar F-Type 75 – MSRP From $91,175
There are modest specification improvements on 75 and their mechanically more powerful R75 siblings. These include ventilation in the performance Windsor leather seats, matching the extended leather fitted throughout the cabin.
Different wheels are also fitted depending on your choice of engine, and there’s additional interior black accenting, while Giola Green metallic paint is unique to this trim. A rear electronic active differential complements aluminum chassis components and larger wheel bearings, bringing superior road-holding.
R-Dynamic models are so well equipped that there’s little benefit upgrading to the far more expensive 75 models unless you really want the additional performance provided by the R75’s 575-hp powerplant.
