Major changes included: The X-Type is largely inspired by the XJ series sedan. It was offered as the smallest and cheapest way into the Jaguar marque. It was offered as a 3.0 liter sedan and a 3.0 liter wagon model. Both were powered by a 3.0 liter V6 that produced 227 horsepower. Walnut veneers could be found inside, while a navigation system and premium sound system came optional.
