Major changes included: The X-Type is largely inspired by the XJ series sedan. It was offered as the smallest and cheapest way into the Jaguar marque. It was offered in both sedan and wagon models. Both were powered by a 3.0 liter V6 that produced 227 horsepower. Walnut veneers could be found inside, while a navigation system and premium sound system came optional.
