Kia Spectra Generations
For each major redesign, a vehicle is said to begin a new "generation."
The Spectra is a compact four-door sedan that can seat up to five passengers. Spectra is available in three trims: LX, EX and SX. A 138-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a standard five-speed manual transmission send power to the front wheels. A four-speed automatic transmission is optional. A fully independent strut front, multi-link rear suspension provides ride comfort and handling. Front airbags, seat-mounted side-impact airbags and side curtain airbags are standard on all trims.

2005 - 2009 Kia Spectra
Major changes included: The second generation Spectra is available in sedan and hatchback trims. It is powered by a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine. The LX trim adds power steering, air conditioning, and a CD player on top of the Base features. The SX trim adds a few aesthetic touches such as alloy wheels and leather-wrapped steering wheel. | |
