Lexus took its first plunge into the entry-level luxury market with the introduction of the Lexus ES in 1989. Originally based on the highly successful Toyota Camry platform, the refined ES enjoyed widespread success.

Today's sixth-generation ES 350 offers a spacious and opulent interior, a powerful engine and lots of technology. It's also the first ES to be built on anything but the Toyota Camry platform—the upscale sedan now uses the Toyota Avalon as its platform, making the ES 350 slightly larger and longer.

Major changes included: The fifth generation ES is sleeker than its predecessor. It features an all new body design, and it is powered by a 3.7 liter V6 engine using front wheel drive. The interior is treated with walnut wood accents, leather seats, and dual-zone climate control. Keyless entry and ignition allow the engine to be started without removing the key from one's pocket.
