Lexus designed its IS sedans as a direct competitor to class leaders like BMW's 3 Series. So it was only a matter of time until a convertible with a retractable hardtop joined the IS lineup.
Now in the fourth year of its first generation, the Lexus IS 250 C features a 2.5-liter V6 that produces 204 horsepower. It's no speedster, though: An IS 250 C takes a full 8.4 seconds to reach 60 mph. Fuel economy is respectable, however, with ratings of 21 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.
