Known in recent years for featherweight, two-seat sports cars that sacrifice comfort and convenience for track-worthy performance, Lotus took a new direction with the Evora in 2010. Its 2+2 layout and more comfortable cabin make the mid-engine Lotus a viable daily driver.

Three trim levels -- Evora, Evora S and Evora SR -- use naturally-aspirated 276-horsepower and supercharged 345-horsepower versions of a Toyota-sourced 3.5-liter V6. With the latter, an Evora can hit 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and return up to 28 mpg highway.
