The McLaren MP4-12C is the first ground-up design to come out of McLaren Automotive since the legendary McLaren F1's arrival in 1992. While there are some similarities such as the brake-assist aerofoil at the rear, the insect-wing doors and a stylistic nod to the F1 in general, this is a completely different kind of supercar.
With a svelte 2,868-pound curb weight and a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 making 593 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque, it's no wonder that McLaren's latest supercar can achieve a 0 to 60 mph time of three seconds flat and a top speed of 205 miles per hour.
