An ultra-performance variant of the Mercedes-Benz's entry-level C-Class, the C63 AMG first hit showrooms in 2008. While previous AMG efforts had essentially bolted parts onto standard-issue cars, this compact sedan was designed from the ground up as a stealth race car.
Freshened in 2011, today's C63 runs with a 6.2-liter V8 with 451 horsepower—and a whopping 481 when equipped with the extra-cost AMG Development Package. While the massive engine lies at the heart of the C63's appeal, it also boasts a much firmer suspension and stiffer chassis than lesser models. An aggressive body kit, performance wheels and tires, and a sportier interior complete the transformation.
