In the world of luxury vehicles, "affordable" is a relative term. For example, the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class, which debuted in 2014, is priced on the low side compared with other models in the company's lineup, making it accessible to a wider market. And for that reason, it is an excellent entry-level choice for buyers just getting into the high-end sedan market.
Perhaps the best aspect of the CLA-Class is that it seems anything but "affordable," thanks to its sexy silhouette, decked-out cabin, and enjoyable handling. The CLA is offered in two trims: the CLA250 and the CLA45 AMG -- a high-performance model with a modified 2-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out a roaring 355 horsepower. The AMG also gets an upgraded seven-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. The CLA has limited rear-window visibility and a fairly noisy engine at high speeds, but these issues are easy to overcome, considering how much the model offers as an entry-level option.
