For 50 years, Mercedes-Benz has been fitting large V8 engines in seemingly sedate luxury sedans, and the E550 continues that tradition of blending outstanding performance with understated design.
In its current form, the E550 uses a 4.7-liter V8 engine with two turbochargers and 402 horsepower, sent to all four wheels with standard 4Matic. It's a great buy for those who want lots of power at their disposal, but don't want to shout about it.
