An early example of the crossover SUV, Mercedes-Benz's M-Class first appeared in 1997 -- and even had a starring role in Jurassic Park: The Lost World. That first ML320 used a 215-horsepower 3.2-liter V6.
The ML550 debuted in 2008, a few years after Mercedes-Benz launched the second-generation M-Class, and production continues in the model's third generation. With a twin-turbo 4.7-liter V8 churning out 402 horsepower, the ML550 reaches 60 mph in only 5.3 seconds.
