Mercedes-Benz introduced the S63 AMG in 2007 for drivers who wanted thrilling performance from their S-Class sedan. In 2011, a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 replaced the original model's naturally-aspirated 6.2-liter engine—the new motor produces a healthy 563 horsepower with an optional performance package.
The S-Class is scheduled for a redesign for the 2014 model year, only the fifth since since Mercedes-Benz launched the flagship sedan in 1972. It's likely that the next S63, or its successor, will pack even more performance into its luxurious package.
