For most of its career, the SL-Class was a grand tourer with impressive -- though not astonishing -- performance. That can't be said of the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG. Powered by a handcrafted 6-liter twin-turbo V12 mated to a seven-speed transmission, this SL generates a jaw-dropping 621 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. The SL65 AMG has a 0 to 60 time of 3.9 seconds and an electronically-limited top speed of 186 mph.
Other high-performance specifications include torque vectoring brake technology and a carbon ceramic braking system.
