Many Americans aren't aware that Mercedes-Benz does a huge worldwide business in commercial-grade vehicles, or that the Sprinter van sold as a Dodge from 2003 to 2009 was in fact a Mercedes-Benz. That's changing though, since the Sprinter has worn a three-pointed star since 2010.
The Sprinter, which comes in two wheelbases and two roof heights, can be configured for a variety of passenger and commercial purposes. All feature a turbo-diesel V6 that makes 188 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. It might not match the brawn of some American competitors, but its fuel efficiency should impress.
