3/4 Front Glamour 2014 MINI Coupe

Overview

Research by Year

No one is betting bigger on the old adage "good things come in small packages" than BMW-owned MINI. Like its Roadster sibling, the MINI Coupe is a performance-focused sports car that aims to please those looking for a fast, fun, nimble driving experience. It offers varying levels of power from MINI's three standard powertrain configurations: Cooper, Cooper S, and John Cooper Works.

Unlike the Roadster, the Coupe features a sleek, low-profile fixed hardtop. Still in its first generation and still distinctly a MINI, this compact, front-wheel drive two-seater offers enough room for a driver and passenger of average height -- and their luggage.

Major changes included:

One of several MINI spinoffs, the rakishly-styled Coupe is the iconic brand's first two-seater. Like other MINIs, it is available in Base, S and John Cooper Works (JCW) trims. The base model features 15-inch wheels; the S trim has 16-inch wheels, a turbocharger and other sport-oriented appointments; the JCW, finally, includes 17-inch wheels, and numerous performance and appearance upgrades. For 2013, Bluetooth and a USB/iPod adapter replaced a newly-optional satellite radio as standard features. An automatic transmission also became available on the JCW trim.
