Mitsubishi Cars
Mitsubishi is the fourth largest auto-manufacturer in Japan and has been in existence since 1917. A division of the massive Japanese conglomerate that also makes TVs, Mitsubishi Motors has been selling in the U.S. for more than two decades. In recent years, Mitsubishi has been struggling with U.S. sales and are hoping the release of redesigned models such as the Eclipse Spyder and Lancer Evolution can revive their market.

Changes in the Mitsubishi Cars Line-Up
The 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse gets freshened front and rear styling which shares the cues from the Mitsubishi's sportier models. The top-line GT models receive two-tone bumper fascias, a larger rear wing for more downforce during high-speed driving, high-intensity discharge headlights, standard electronic stability control, and a new throatier dual exhaust system that bumps engine output from 263 to 265 horsepower. The 2009 Galant has been restyled for 2009. All models get a manual-shifting option for their automatic transmissions. The 2009 Lancer GTS model also gets a larger bored and stroked 2.4-liter engine to further differentiate it from 2-liter DE and ES models. The best performing Mitsubishi for 2009 is without a doubt the 2009 Lancer Evolution MR which couples its all-new 295-horsepower turbocharged engine to a self-shifting Twin Clutch-SST transmission and intelligent all-wheel-drive.

Mitsubishi offers rebates and ultra-low APRs on most of it's models, in addition to partaking in select lease deals which focus on low initial cost due at signing. All Mitsubishi 2009 and 2010 passenger and sport utility vehicles receive extensive warranties. This list is headed by a 10-year/100,000 mile powertrain limited warranty, a 5-year/60,000 mile fully transferable bumper-to-bumper new vehicle limited warranty, a 7-year/100,000 mile anti-corrosion/perforation limited warranty and 5-years/unlimited miles roadside assistance.

News on Mitsubishi Cars
Mitsubishi and DaimlerChrysler (DCX) parted ways this year, as DCX liquidated its partial ownership stake in the Mitsubishi Motors division. The two still seem on good terms, however, and are sharing custody of at least a couple of models, which they had planned to produce jointly. The 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer, for example, will share the Chrysler PT Cruiser's underpinnings, and DCX still manufactures the Raider truck for Mitsubishi. The Mitsubishi Galant, on the other hand, is more in limbo; it’s unclear whether DCX will help develop the redesign due the Galant by 2010.
