Mitsubishi Lancer Generations
Underpinning the Lancer is the same new platform that Mitsubishi introduced beneath the 2007 Outlander. The interior was designed to emphasize roominess in a compact package. The Lancer is available in DE, ES, ES-Sport and GTS versions. All Lancers are equipped with seven airbags, including a driver's knee airbag and side-curtain airbags. The DE, ES and ES-Sport have a 152-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and the GTS has a 168-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. A five-speed manual transmission is standard with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) as an option. The CVT on the GTS also comes equipped with paddle shifters. The GTS also comes equipped with a sport-tuned suspension and Bluetooth.

2008 - 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer
Major changes included: The eighth generation Lancer is available in DE, ES, and GTS trims. The base DE and ES are powered by a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine, whereas the GTS sports a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine. The Lancer Evolution offers a turbocharged version of the 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine. The new Lancer features smoother body lines and more space. | |
