Nissan Altima SE
The 2009 Nissan Altima SE is a powered up version of the S model—a 3.5L engine delivering 270 horsepower replaces the 2.5L engine of standard models. The SE's engine gets 19 MPG in city and 27 highway, according to the manufacturer's specs.
The Nissan Altima SE has got the basics, like cruise control and power locks and windows, as well as the unique Nissan key system (also offered in the Altima 2.5S) that offers touch-key ignition options for the newest in button control technology. The Altima SE also includes sport-tuned suspension, folding heated mirrors with turn signal indicators and other unique features.
For safety, the Altima SE has the anti-lock brake system and six airbags that are standard on the basic models as well. Beyond this, the SE offers a traction control system that can control brake pressure and engine torque to help optimize handling on the road. Much more is built into the Altima for safety. The SE as well as the 2.5 and 2.5S models come with features like structural stops for front end collision engineering, as well as seat features like Front-seat Active Head Restraints and a LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) for holistic family safety in this high design sedan.
A security system comes standard on both 2.5, 2.5S and SE, but the Altima SE also includes some style features like a leather wrapped steering wheel and an 8-way adjustable driver's seat. The Altima SE represents one of the top offerings for this make of car in this year's market.
