Nissan's limited-production supercar may not be the most powerful racer you can buy, but nothing can beat it on the street: zero to 60 mph takes just 2.7 seconds. The GT-R began trickling into the U.S. market during 2008, several months after its Japanese launch. It quickly earned the moniker "Godzilla" over here.
Performance has been tweaked over the years, resulting in the stunning acceleration numbers we see on new-for-2014 models. The 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 responsible for all this madness makes 545 horsepower and is hand-assembled from start to finish by a dedicated master craftsman—the delicate work takes place in a special climate-controlled room at the Nissan factory.
