2024 Nissan Kicks Changes
It’s business as usual for the 2024-year Nissan Kicks. This three-model range is mechanically unchanged, and the only difference is the introduction of WiFi capabilities on SV and SR models.
Choosing Your 2024 Nissan Kicks
It won’t take you long to work your way through the various permutations in the Nissan Kicks brochure. In essence, you have a choice of three trims, with base S models starting at $22,155 (all prices include destination). Mid-range SV will set you back $24,015, with flagship SR retailing at $24,715. All three models are powered by the same engine, transmission, and drivetrain configuration.
2024 Nissan Kicks Engine Options
The 2024 Nissan Kicks engine range starts and ends with a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder gas engine. It produces 122 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque, supplied to the front wheels through a CVT transmission.
2024 Nissan Kicks Fuel Economy
2024 Nissan Kicks fuel economy stands at an EPA-estimated 31 miles per gallon city, 36 mpg highway, and 33 combined.
2024 Nissan Kicks Towing Capacity
No towing capacity is quoted for the Kicks, and there are plenty of other Nissan models blessed with more torque if you want to tow a trailer.
2024 Nissan Kicks Dimensions & Cargo Capacity
2024 Nissan Kicks dimensions include a 103-inch wheelbase, providing a modest 33.5 inches of rear legroom. Five adults might technically fit, but they’d be pretty cozy. 2024 Nissan Kicks cargo space stands at 25.3 cu ft with the rear seats in place, and 32.3 cu ft once they’re dropped.
2024 Nissan Kicks Safety
Despite its diminutive dimensions, Nissan installs ten airbags into each Kicks. Cruise control is standard across the range, though SV and SR get a more sophisticated system capable of self-braking. Front and rear automatic emergency braking is standard on every model, alongside lane departure warnings, blind spot/cross-traffic alerts, hill start, and high beam assistance. Only SR models get an around-view monitor, while S buyers miss out on driver alertness monitoring.
2024 Nissan Kicks Technology
S models are the poor relation here, with a modest seven-inch touchscreen and no driver assistance display. SV and SR receive the latter plus an eight-inch dash screen, satellite radio and WiFi hotspot capabilities which are new for this model year.
The six-speaker stereo won’t impress audiophiles, but SR buyers can upgrade to a punchy Bose system with a speaker embedded in the driver’s headrest. At least smartphone mirroring is standard across the range.
2024 Nissan Kicks Trims & Prices
2024 Nissan Kicks S – MSRP from $22,155
Build & Price >At this price point, you can’t be surprised by the presence of manually adjustable front seats, 16-inch steel wheels or halogen headlights. The cheapest Kicks does at least come with automatic headlights, power outside mirrors, basic air conditioning, and power locks/windows, plus remote keyless entry and push-button start.
2024 Nissan Kicks SV – MSRP from $24,015
Build & Price >Larger 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels distinguish SV models from the outside, along with heated outside mirrors. Internal improvements include a center console armrest, chrome detailing, remote engine start, and rear heating ducts.
2024 Nissan Kicks SR – MSRP from $24,715
Build & Price >LED headlights, fog lights, and daytime running lights make a belated appearance on SR models, which are also the first to benefit from intelligent climate control and sports seats with orange stitching.
The $1,390 SR Premium Package bundles together some unusual bedfellows – an eight-speaker Bose stereo, heated seats and steering wheel, a cargo cover, and an alarm.
You’ll have to raid the options list for features like a Bose stereo and heated front seats, but you’ll also need an SR mode to do so. Given its modest $700 price premium compared to the underwhelming SV, this is the model we’d choose.
