Nissan Versa SL

The 2009 Nissan Versa SL model is for buyers who want to get near the top in terms of feature packages for this innovative Nissan vehicle. Where the base model comes with a 1.6L DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine putting out 107 horsepower, the Versa SL comes with a 1.8L engine size, with 122 horsepower, that gets an EPA estimated mileage per gallon of 24/32 with the 4-speed automatic transmission that is standard on the SL. Some SL models may offer the XTronic continuously-variable transmission technology that has been recently engineered for newer vehicles.

A lot of the safety gear in the Versa SL 1.8 comes standard on rest of the 2009 Versa model line, from zone body construction and safety stops to an advanced airbag system, a LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) system, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System to help avoid underinflated tires, which can lead to road safety issues. The Versa SL, though, comes with a lot more standard features. Interior features like power doors and windows, more lighting, and some style upgrades are standard on the SL. The Nissan Intelligent Key keyless entry and ignition system are optional for the SL, not offered at all on the base model. Audio in the SL starts with a premium AM/FM/In-dash 6-CD audio system, with MP3 play options and six speakers (base model has four).

The Nissan Versa SL is also offered in a hatchback style (where feature packages may differ) as well as the conventional sedan. Choices like these make the SL a top option for those who are intrigued by the Versa and want to ride in style while showing off this new addition to the Nissan product line.
