Porsche Boxster Generations
The Boxster comes in two trims: the Base and the S with both trims having a Limited Edition model as well. The Base is powered by a 245 hp 2.7-liter flat six-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. A Tiptronic S five-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission found in the Sport Package are optional. The S is powered by a 295 hp 3.4-liter flat six-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual or an optional Tiptronic S five-speed automatic transmission.. Standard safety features on all trims include: Porsche Stability Management (PSM), four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, front and side seat-mounted airbags with a curtain airbag for head protection and a fixed roll-over protection bars.

2005 - 2008 Porsche Boxster
Major changes included: The second generation Boxster, otherwise known as the 987, is available in base and S versions. The base model is powered by a 2.7-liter six-cylinder engine, while the S has a 3.4 liter six-cylinder engine. Changes include sleeker body styling and improved interior appointments. | |
