Porsche Cayman Generations
The Cayman is powered by a 245 hp 2.7-liter flat six-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. A Tiptronic S five-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission found in the Sport Package are optional. The Cayman comes standard with: Porsche Stability Management (PSM), dual exhaust tips, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, power retractable spoiler, 17-inch alloy wheels, front and side airbags, leather seat trim, air conditioning, cruise control, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, power mirrors, windows and door locks with remote keyless entry. Optional features include: Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), roof-mounted transport system, Bi-Xenon headlamps, either 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels, power seats with driver memory control, and a Bose surround sound system.
Major changes included: Only the Cayman S was offered in the car’s debut year, but the base model became available in 2007. A 2.7 liter 6-cylinder engine powers the base, while a 3.4 liter grants the S with 295 horsepower. Leather sport seats adorn the interior, and premium audio and navigation are available. |
