The Toyota 4Runner is a traditional sport utility built on a rugged ladder frame with a solid rear axle. The 4Runner's more traditional design gives it an advantage in long-term durability and on truly rugged terrain.

The 4Runner comes in three trim levels: SR5, Sport Edition, and Limited. Each is available with the 236 hp 4.0-liter V6 or 260 hp 4.7-liter V8, with two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. Both engines also benefit from a five-speed automatic transmission. The V8 boosts the 4Runner's tow rating to 7,300 pounds. A Class III receiver hitch with a seven-pin connector is standard on V8 models and optional on V6s; it mounts directly to the rear frame crossmember. An optional third-row seat expands the passenger capacity to seven

The Toyota 4Runner is a carryover from 2006.

Buying a 2007 Toyota 4Runner

Purchasing an older vehicle, such as the 2007 Toyota 4Runner, makes good financial sense. You're able to avoid the steep depreciation rates that occur with brand new vehicles. This essentially gives you the advantage of getting a 2007 Toyota 4Runner for less money than when it was new. If the 2007 Toyota 4Runner was properly maintained, you also have a good chance of steering clear of problems that would have developed when the car was new.

The amount you pay for an older car depends on various factors. One important element is where you buy the vehicle. You're likely to get a better deal if you buy it from a private party, as opposed to a dealer. On the other hand, a reputable dealer will normally have some kind of limited warranty, so you can drive away knowing that if the car breaks down right away, you'll be covered. Another factor that may affect price on a 2007 Toyota 4Runner is whether it's "certified" by the manufacturer. A certified vehicle will cost more because warranty service is provided that normally doesn't come with a used car.

Another dynamic that will play into the purchase price is the resale value. A used vehicle with a high resale value will obviously cost you more. It is expected that the 2007 Toyota 4Runner will have a excellent resale value. This assumes that the 2007 Toyota 4Runner is in good condition and has a reasonable number of miles.
