The core of the Scion design is their box-shaped wagons which offer a fun and hip approach towards the driving experience. These vehicles are compact, making them ideal for city driving, while maintaining reliability and fuel economy. In addition, Scion made a conscious decision to include powerful sound systems into their designs, appealing even more to younger buyers.
In 2005 Scion introduced several additional models, including the tC, a compact coupe. The tC features a more robust engine and was another successful hit. Eventually the xA was replaced by the xD, and in 2012, Scion introduced the iQ (a compact city car) and the FR-S (a coupe roadster).
Today Scion offers five models for buyers to choose from, including the popular and funky xD hatchback and xB Wagon. Most Scions are designed with simplicity in mind, with few trim levels but a host of options to customize their cars with. Several body-kits, stereo and speaker upgrades, and customizable exhaust options await buyers – should the seek them. Scion dealers also sell their cars with a no-haggle process, further easing the shopping process for their demographic (young auto buyers).
Scion excels in simplicity, with few models and trim levels, but several after-market options offering a line of fresh, hip, and sophisticated vehicles. Like a young boy becoming a man, Scion has evolved into a brand all its own – all the while making its parent company, Toyota, proud.
